The Clark County Animal Control division promotes public safety, rabies control and responsible pet ownership through education, service, and enforcement.
Our animal control officers respond to thousands of complaints every month such as animals on the loose, cruelty allegations and dangerous or vicious animals. We also provide animal care and control services including pick-up service for live, dead, sick or injured stray animals.
Clark County promotes responsible pet ownership by requiring that dogs and cats older than four months be spayed or neutered unless the pet owner applies for and receives a permit or qualifies for an exemption.
Every year tens of thousands of unwanted cats and dogs are euthanized and the major cause of this problem is uncontrolled breeding. To limit the number of unwanted pets, please spay and neuter your cat or dog.
For more information or to make an animal-related complaint, call the Clark County Animal Control office at (702) 455-7710. Animals impounded by Clark County are transported to The Lied Animal Shelter located at 655 N. Mojave Road.
