  • Brief Synopsis 

     

    A Coroner Inquest is a fact-finding procedure that takes place anytime an individual dies at the hands of law enforcement.
    The purpose of this hearing is to publicly bring forth all the details surrounding the incident and leading to the death (video).  Recently, the Clark County Code 2.12.080, which governs Coroner Inquests, was revised through an Inquest Review Panel and approved by the Board of Commissioners on December 7, 2010. 
      

  • Coroner Inquest Transcripts     
     
      A transcript of the proceedings is retained at the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner.  All transcripts are availabe for viewing by appointment.  Also, all transcripts are available for purchase.  The copying fee is $1.00 per page (NRS239.110 and NRS19.013).  Please call ahead regarding recent inquest transcripts as they may take four weeks to complete.  Any questions or to make an appointment for viewing, please call 702-455-3210.
