Appointed as County Manager for Clark County on January 3, 2011, Donald G. Burnette is responsible for the executive oversight of the country's 14th-largest county that provides both regional and municipal-type services to more than 2 million residents and 40 million visitors a year.  In his position as the County's chief executive officer, Don is charged with carrying out the policies established by the seven-member Board of County Commissioners. Don is responsible for the fiscal management of the County's $5.9 billion budget and provides administrative oversight for 38 diverse and geographically dispersed departments (including McCarran International Airport and University Medical Center), and the more than 10,000 employees. 

Don served as the Chief Administrative Officer for Clark County from July 1, 2002.  Prior to becoming Chief Administrative Officer, Don served as Director of the Administrative Services Department from 1999 to 2002, and previously served as Assistant Director of Administrative Services from 1995 to 1999.  Don began his employment with Clark County in 1990 

Don has a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Administration from Northern Arizona University and a Master’s of Public Administration from New Mexico State University.
