Damage Assessment Inspections and Reports

A Damage Assessment Inspection is an on site inspection performed prior to the issuance of a permit for repair of structural damage due to damage resulting from fire, water, wind, vehicular impact, or other causes. The Damage Assessment Inspection and associated Damage Assessment Inspection Report are required prior to issuance of a building permit for repair of the damage.
The Damage Assessment Inspection may be requested by the property owner or their representative. It can be requested by submitting Form #110 (Damage Assessment Request) by delivering it to the Clark County Building Department, Field Services Counter located at 4701 W Russell Road, Las Vegas, NV 89118, or faxing to 702-380-9810, attention Damage Assessments. Once the request is submitted and received, a Damage Assessment Case file will be set up. The Case File will be assigned to a  Building Inspector who will in turn contact the owner or their representative to schedule the inspection.
A fee of $110.00 per hour shall be applied to the Damage Assessment Inspection with a minimum of 1 hour. The Damage Assessment Inspection Fee shall be payable at the time of permit issuance. Once the Damage Assessment Inspection is complete the Building Inspector will furnish the property owner or their representative with a copy of the Damage Assessment Inspection Report. The Damage Assessment Inspection Report will be required in order to obtain a building permit to repair damage. A building permit can be obtained at the Permit Application Center at 4701 W. Russell Road, Las Vegas, NV 89118.
