Due Dates and Timeframes for the "Federal Post Card Application" (FPCA)
Due Date
OCTOBER 30, 2012 DUE DATE: Military and overseas residents must submit an FPCA for the November 6, 2012 Federal/State General Election no later OCTOBER 30, 2012 (postmark date) to register to vote or update existing registration, and to request a mail/absentee ballot. DO NOT DELAY - THE SOONER, THE BETTER!
Timeframe of When to Expect Your Mail/Absentee Ballot
In federal/state elections (even-numbered years), delivery of mail ballots begins 20 days before Election Day for in-state voters and 40-45 days before Election Day for out-of-state voters. If you request a mail/absentee ballot and do not receive it at least 10 days before Election Day, IMMEDIATELY contact the Clark County Election Department. Do not delay as short timeframes will make it difficult for you to receive, vote and return a mail/absentee ballot by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
Voted Mail/Absentee Ballot Due Date and Time (Election Day, November 6, 2012, 7:00 p.m.)
The Election Department must RECEIVE your voted mail/absentee ballot no later than 7:00 p.m. on November 6, 2012, Election Day, in order for your ballot to be counted. Submission options include postal mail, fax, email or personal delivery, details of which will be included in the mail/absentee ballot packet we send you.
Register to Vote and/or Request a Mail/Absentee Ballot
