Prevention: Plan Review
Plan review personnel review plans, specifications, calculations, and other related documents for all new or remodeled commercial and industrial buildings or for other structures that require fire safety systems. These plans are reviewed for compliance with the provisions of all adopted fire codes in order to safeguard the life, property, and public welfare of building occupants.
The Fire Department performs plan reviews for:
- Installation or alteration of fire and life safety systems
- Operational use (renewable permits)
- Temporary and special events
- Fire protection reports
- Alternate means and methods
All plans submitted must adhere to the current Clark County Fire Code. Additional guidelines have been created to provide more specific information about plan submittal requirements based on your permit type.
You can submit code-related questions or request a meeting using our online form. You may ask for a return phone call but please provide the basic framework of your question so that we are prepared to assist you when we call. For meeting requests. please provide enough information so that the Fire Prevention Bureau can schedule the appropriate staff. Also provide several available dates and times for coordination purposes, if possible. Your meeting date and time will be confirmed by email or telephone within 48 hours.
