Clark County Parks & Recreation will offer two Summer "Sleep-Over" Camps at Camp Lee from July 14-26. Each week-long Camp begins on a Sunday afternoon and ends on a Friday evening. "Omni Discovery Camp" is for children ages 8-12, and "On the Edge Adventure Camp" is for teens ages 13-15.
Omni Discovery Camp: July 14-19 is for children ages 8 to 12. Get ready for fun excitement and discovery at this interactive learning camp! Featured classes in the arts, sciences, nature and outdoor adventure include: sculpture, sign language, hands-on experience with exotic animals and birds, a high-ropes course, geo-caching and more! This year’s special guest instructors include Sign Design Theatre, Airborne Raptors, Roos N More, and Mad Science! Traditional camp activities include hikes, archery, campfires, sing-a-longs, arts & crafts and cabin-skits. And…for even more fun, Campers have the option to “dress-up” for dinner Mon-Thurs, by wearing a costume! Costume themes are Superheroes, Halloween, Pajamas and Silly Hats.
On the Edge Adventure Camp: July 21-26 is for teens ages 13 to 15. Get set for outdoor adventure with this fun challenging camp! Featured activities include a high-ropes course, mountain biking, hiking, a one-night tent camp out under the stars and a Teen dance with live DJ! Traditional camp activities include hikes, archery, campfires, sing-a-longs, and cabin skits and cabin games.
