Parks & Recreation: Children's Festival

Saturday, April 14th, 2012, the Clark County Children's Festival will return to Winchester Cultural Center & Park, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. The park will be transformed into a lively play land for children. Founded in 1993, the Children's Festival has continued as an annual spring event for 19 years. Last year over 1200 children and adults attended the festival, an event that provides families with an opportunity to come together and enjoy a fun filled family day. Children delight in the magic of this unique celebration of creativity and community spirit.
This year's Children's Festival will run from 10 am - 3 pm. Admission is free, and the many free activities include ongoing dance and music performances, arts and crafts, a variety of exotic animals from Roos-N-More, percussion workshops, and carnival games as costumed characters stroll the park. Vendors with small fees include a rock climbing wall, historic battles, pony rides, and food and drink vendors.
