Overnight Event Offers Summer Camp Experience
Standard Camp Activities Open to Women of All Ages May 2-4, 2014
Women who never had the opportunity to get away to summer camp – or want to experience it again - have the chance to attend a concentrated camp experience during the Women of the Wild (WOW) overnight camp, presented by Clark County Parks and Recreation, Friday - Sunday, May 2 through 4 at Camp Lee Canyon, located in the Toiyabe National Forest about 45 minutes northwest of Las Vegas. Cost for the overnight camp is $35, and it includes all activities, and pancake breakfast. Space is limited to 40 participants.
The women-only overnight camp includes all outdoor nature activities including archery, high ropes challenge course, day and night hikes, Dutch-oven or Outdoor cooking, crafts, mountain biking, sunrise yoga, campfires, movies and more. Participants can choose which activities they would like to attend. Other than the pancake breakfast provided, campers are responsible for their own food, snacks and bedding. Minors are welcome to participate as long as they’re accompanied by a parent or guardian who also is registered for the camp experience.
