The Medical Assistance program provides care to low-income individuals not eligible for other public or private programs. Client services include outpatient clinic care, inpatient hospital care, emergency room service, institutional care, adult day care, medical transportation and pharmacy services. Eligibility determination is based upon an assessment of need according to established agency guidelines.

CCSS staff is available to assist hospital discharge planners with outpatient needs of patients from University Medical Center and local private hospitals.

Eligibility determinations for agency programs are made and information/referrals are provided. Staff also visits homebound clients to assess eligibility for agency programs. Eligibility determination is based upon an assessment of need according to established agency guidelines.
