Portions of Paradise Road Restricted, Dec. 12-16

Construction will restrict southbound traffic on Paradise Road down to one lane from Convention Center to Sands/Twain Avenues from Dec. 12 through Dec. 16. Bus stops along this section of Paradise Road will be closed.

During this time Desert Inn Road may be closed between Paradise Road and Valley View Drive from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Construction crews will be removing and replacing asphalt paving during the day and in the overnight hours. Work is expected to be completed on this project by May 2011.

Improvements include installation of utilities, modification of traffic signals, widening of the roadway and resurfacing existing asphalt as needed to increase the traffic capacity of Paradise Road.
