Edu/Non-Prft Exempt

Religious, Educational and Non-Profit Exemption

Nevada Revised Statutes provides for a property tax exemption on property owned by a religious, educational, low-income housing project or non-profit organization when that property is used solely for the organization's purpose.

To apply for a property tax exemption, you can download the application form, complete and sign the form, and mail it with all back up documentation that is needed to:

The application cannot be processed until the application is complete with all necessary documentation.  The deadline to file for a property tax exemption is June 15th to be applicable for the following fiscal year lien date of July 1st.  

In order to download the Property Tax Exemption Application you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.  If you do not have Adobe Reader installed, you can download the free program. If you already have Adobe Reader, please proceed. 

All applicants should use the Property Tax Exemption Application unless applying as a low income housing project.  A special application is needed which is provided below.
