Clark County is currently taking applications for the following:


NRS 354.5983 outlines the parameters of an enterprise fund or funds.  They are established for the issuance of barricade permits, encroachment permits, and building permits, including, without limitation, cost of plans checking, issuing permits, inspecting buildings, and administering the program.

NRS 354.5983 also identifies the composition of the Clark County Building Enterprise Fund Advisory Committee (BEFAC).  The BEFAC may issue opinions and recommendations regarding the adequacy of the fees that Clark County charges for permits, and the financial objectives and annual budget of the program for the issuance of the permits.

The Clark County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) shall appoint at least five (5) members to the BEFAC which must include: 

  • A representative of the residential construction industry;
  • A representative of the commercial development industry; and
  • A representative of the construction industry.

The composition of the BEFAC may also include a public officer or employee who manages the fiscal affairs of the local government, and a public officer or employee of the local government who directly oversees the operation of the enterprise fund.

Clark County is currently seeking applications for the positions that represent the various construction and development industries.  All appointments to the BEFAC will occur at the August 18, 2020 BCC meeting, and the appointments will be for two-year terms, ending on September 18, 2022.
