Pain in the Drain campaign was organized by the Clark County Water Reclamation District and area partners to educate the public on how to safely dispose of fats, oil, grease and grit instead of washing it down your sink drains. Pain in the Drain’s Medicine Disposal Program addresses the proper way to dispose of used or expired medications.
The Storm Drain Plaque Attack campaign addresses stormwater pollution and was organized by the Stormwater Quality Management Committee (SWQMC), a community partnership of the Clark County Regional Flood Control District. The campaign promotes environmental responsibility through the posting of plaques above storm drain inlets that read: “Don’t Pollute. Drains to Lake Mead.”
Don’t Trash Nevada, a federal initiative aimed at not littering and cleaning up public lands. Partners are members of the Southern Nevada Agency Partnership (SNAP): U.S. Bureau of Land Management, U.S. National Park Service, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and U.S. Forest Service.
