Recorder
Apostille

When a citizen of a foreign country that abides by the Hague authentication treaty is married in Las Vegas, proof of the marriage consists of a certified copy of the marriage certificate (proof that the marriage ceremony was performed) and an Apostille. Some countries may also require a certified copy of the marriage application (license) as well. Please check with the appropriate agency in your country.

The marriage official that performs the ceremony has ten days to submit the marriage certificate to this office for recording. Normally a certified copy of the certificate would be available the following business day after the certificate has been received from the official.

The cost for a certified copy of a marriage certificate is $15.00 per copy. An International Money Order (in U.S. Dollars payable through a U.S. bank) should be made payable to the Clark County Recorder.

The money order for the Apostille (in U.S. Dollars payable through a U.S. bank) should be made payable to the Secretary of State.

The Recorder's Office does not process orders for Apostille. Please contact the Secretary of State for a list of Apostille Fees.

The Secretary of State's Office will forward the Apostille and certified copy of the marriage certificate to the couple or foreign consulate.

Please mail your Marriage Certificate requests and fees to:

Clark County Recorder
Box 551510
Las Vegas, NV 89155-1510

DO NOT SEND YOUR APOSTILLE REQUEST TO THE RECORDER'S OFFICE!
