Intergovernmental Relations

Through management of the Legislative Program of the Board of County Commissioners, the Office of Intergovernmental Relations seeks to enact the Board's legislative proposals and responds to local, state, and federal legislation that could affect the County.

The preparation of the legislative program includes:

  • Development and analysis of bill draft proposals for consideration by the Board of County Commissioners prior to submission to the state
  • Interim committee tracking and support
  • Policy and issue analysis
  • Communication of the County's position on legislative issues

Responsibilities also include facilitating and maintaining ongoing interaction between Clark County and elected local, state, and federal officials and their respective staff members.
