OpenWeb Questions

Q: “Why am I getting a blank page when I try to open OpenWeb?”

A:  You may be experiencing an issue related to Microsoft Silverlight.  OpenWeb requires Microsoft Silverlight to operate.  Please visit the Microsoft Silverlight home page to verify the system requirements.  

 

Q: “When I right click in OpenWeb it shows ‘Silverlight’ but no functions, why is this?”

A:  OpenWeb does not use the right click function.  Please review the OpenWeb Quick Guide, also found within the Resources panel, for operating instructions.  

 

Q: “The new OpenWeb doesn’t work on my Smartphone, is there a mobile version of the application?”

A:  There is no mobile version of OpenWeb at this time; however, our development team is exploring possible options.  

 

Q: “Why is some of the property information in OpenWeb incorrect?”

A:  If you believe there is inaccurate property information depicted in OpenWeb, please contact the Clark County Assessor’s office, Parcel Data Systems at (702) 455-3881 for assistance.   

 

Q: “Why can’t I find the information I’m looking for in OpenWeb?”

A:  If you cannot find the information you are looking for, please contact the Clark County Operator at (702) 455-0000 for assistance in contacting the appropriate department directly. 

 

Map and Data Product Questions

Q: “Can I pay for my map or data online with a major credit card, debit card or Paypal?”

A:  We do not have the ability to process online payments at this time.  You may send a check payable to the Clark County Treasurer’s Office to the Payment Address found on our Contact Us Page. 

 

Q: “Is your GIS data available in a DXF or other interchange format?”

A:  As all GIS Data is provided in Shapefile format, a common and native GIS standard file format, we do not provide DXF’s. 

 

Q: “Can I hire your staff to do specialized GIS work?”

A:  GIS personnel are not available for hire.

 

Q: “Why aren’t Assessor’s Parcel Data and Aerial Imagery free?”

A:  The fees associated with Assessor’s Parcel Data and Aerial Imagery Data are used to subsidize the increased cost of producing the data. 

 

Q: “Can I purchase a subscription that provides Aerial Imagery Only?”

A:  An Imagery only subscription is not currently available.  

  

Q: “Can I purchase a data subscription that provides only the Assessor’s Office Data?”

A:  The GIS Management Office does not currently provide an Assessor’s Office Data only subscription.  Please contact the Clark County Assessor’s office, Parcel Data Systems at (702) 455-3881 to inquire about options that may be available.
