The Clark County Clerk is an independent record-keeper

The County Clerk serves as the Secretary to:

• Board of County Commissioners
• Clark County Board of Equalization
• Clark County Liquor and Gaming Licensing Board
• UMC of Southern Nevada Board of Trustees
• Mt. Charleston Fire Protection District Board of Directors
• Clark County Water Reclamation District Board of Trustees
• Clark County Debt Management Commission
• Clark County Redevelopment Agency 

As an elected official rather than appointed, the County Clerk operates as an independent record-keeper and ex-officio member of these boards. 

The County Clerk issues:

• Marriage Licenses
• Minister Licenses - Certificates of Authority to Solemnize Marriages

The County Clerk accepts:

• Fictitious Firm Name (FFN/DBA) registrations
• Passport applications as an authorized passport acceptance agency
• Notary bonds (and administers the oath of notary publics)
