Advanced Planning leads long-term policy plans for the physical development of unincorporated Clark County.  This includes maintaining the Comprehensive Plan, coordinating federal land management, creating parks and trails, and maintaining demographic information.

Clark County participates in the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition (SNRPC), along with the cities of Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas and North Las Vegas, and the Clark County School District.
