Don Burnette has served as county manager since January 2011, providing executive oversight of the County’s $6.2 billion budget and 38 diverse departments providing services with more than 10,000 employees across an area the size of New Jersey. Appointed by the County Commission, the county manager and his staff execute the policies of the publicly elected board, who serve more than 2 million residents and 40 million visitors annually. Burnette is assisted by Chief Financial Officer George Stevens, Assistant County Manager Jeff Wells, Assistant County Manager Randy Tarr, Administrative Services Director Sabra Smith-Newby and Public Communications Director Erik Pappa. The office operates out of the sixth floor of the Clark County Government Center in downtown Las Vegas.
