Mobile Sources

The Mobile Source program oversees all activities related to mobile source emissions in Clark County, Nevada. Activities include analyzing county vehicle fleet mix and annual motor vehicle emissions pass/failure statistics in conjunction with the Nevada State Inspection and Maintenance Program; interpreting federal and state laws, statutes and codes, and County regulations related to mobile source emissions and fuel specifications; initiating and revising proposed legislative actions that affect mobile source emissions rulemaking; and providing testimony on behalf of the County at legislative hearings. The Mobile Source program is also used to develop, implement, and manage mobile source emissions reduction programs such as the Diesel Retrofit Program, Truck Stop Electrification Program, Auxiliary Power Unit for Emergency Vehicles Program, Voluntary Vehicle Repair Program and the Lawn Mower Exchange Program.
