Permit Issuance
Permits are required for almost all construction projects involving building, electrical, plumbing or mechanical work.  Permit issuance is the final step of the permitting process, prior to the start of construction.  You may refer to the Clark County Administrative code to determine if permits are required for your project.  Some permits may be processed as a same day, or walk thru, service.  These walk-thru permit types include pools, fences or walls, small residential additions or patio covers, and minor tenant improvements or interior remodels.  

Permits for residential projects may be obtained by the occupying property owner, or by properly licensed contractors.  All permits for commercial construction must be obtained by licensed contractors.  Contractor licensing information may be obtained or verified by visiting the Nevada State Contractors website.
