The Explorer Program
The Clark County Fire Department Explorer Program is a paramilitary organization. The program is open to young men and women from the ages of 16 to 21 that are interested in the fire service. These young men and women will have the opportunity to explorer the career of a Clark County firefighter by participating in fire ground skills, academic studies, team building exercises, and ride alongs. This program is in place to instill a good moral character, teamwork, dedication, and discipline for the Clark County community.
How to Get Started
The explorer program will have two (2) enrollment dates every year. The enrollment process will mimic the testing process of the Clark County Fire Department consisting of a written test, physical test, and oral interview with advisor staff. Explorer packets and handbooks will be the testing material.
