Today, the Clark County District Attorney’s office announced it will not file charges against the 17 year old held in connection with a child abuse case being investigated by North Las Vegas Police. The adults in this case, Jondrew Lachaux and Kellie Phillips, are currently in custody at the Clark County Detention Center. The 17 year old was released from juvenile detention, by the court, this morning and is being placed into protective custody with Child Protective Services, a division of the Clark County Department of Family Services. “This child is a victim in this case and can best receive appropriate and necessary services through the dependency court system and Family Services”, said Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson.
