1/10/2017 - District Attorney Major Fraud Team Secures Indictment Against Attorney Robert Graham

Today, the Grand Jury returned an indictment against attorney Robert Graham on three counts of Theft and three counts of Exploitation of an Older/Vulnerable Person, both category B felonies. Two counts of Destroying Evidence, a Gross Misdemeanor, were also included in the indictment. The theft charges each carry a 1-10 year sentence, the exploitation charges each carry a 2-20 year sentence and the destroying evidence charges can be up to 364 days in jail, per count.

The investigation into Mr. Graham’s conduct is ongoing and the District Attorney’s office anticipates filing additional charges. Preliminary information indicates there may be many more victims. The indictment today focuses on three victims with an estimated loss of $2.1 million.

"We felt it was necessary to quickly seek an indictment on this case to ensure that evidence was preserved and that Mr. Graham was unable to cause any further financial damage to families in our community," said Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson. "Attorneys are held to a high ethical standard, which evokes a certain level of trust from their clients, and the violation of that trust is unacceptable. The Deputy District Attorney’s on our Major Fraud team, Jay P. Raman and Jonathan Cooper, are working diligently to ensure all victims are identified and Mr. Graham is prosecuted for all of his crimes."
