Deputy Chief Russell J. Cameron was born in St. Louis, Mo. and was raised in Las Vegas and the Moapa Valley community. He began his career with the Clark County Fire Department in March 1988.
Chief Cameron received his college education at Mesa Community College, the Univesity of Nevada, Reno and Brigham Young University in Utah. Chief Cameron has served the community as a firefighter paramedic, EMS instructor, paramedic preceptor, fire engineer and EMS supervisor. He also served as assistant fire chief over Emergency Medical Services Operations from 2004 through 2007.
Chief Cameron was promoted to deputy fire chief in 2009 and currently oversees Fire Training for the fire department. He resides in Logandale with his wife, Karla, and their four children.
