County Juvenile Justice Services Citizens Advisory Committee is looking to
fill vacancies on its citizen advisory board. The deadline to apply is Friday, June 9, at 5 p.m.
The Committee is comprised of eleven members per Clark
County Code who are appointed by the Clark County Board of Commissioners.
Advisory board members represent the community's voice in addressing juvenile
justice issues; actively advise the department, set policy on matters related
to improving the juvenile justice system; work to enhance interagency and
community collaboration; and promote key system initiatives necessary in
strengthening the community's youth and families.
Meetings take place each first Wednesday of the month from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at
the Department of Juvenile Justice Services, 601 N. Pecos Rd. in the Director's
