World Migratory Bird Day

Walk in! Free, family-friendly event.
This event includes birding walks on the hour, agency Discovery Stations and lots of fun activities for kids and adults.
Wetlands Park provides an important resting place for migratory birds. Learn about birds and enjoy crafts, games, and activities.
World Migratory Bird Day, coordinated by Environment for the Americas, celebrates and brings attention to one of the most important and spectacular events in the Americas - bird migration. More than 600 events and programs hosted annually throughout the United States, Mexico, Central America, and South America introduce the public to migratory birds and ways to conserve them. www.migratorybirdday.org

BioBlitz is a fun day of science in the park!
Walk in event, free.
8 am - 12 pm: You are the naturalist, making observations with the help of guest scientists. Identify plants, mammals, birds, insects, and reptiles. All observations are entered into a global database, iNaturalist, to help track biodiversity. View the iNaturalist Wetlands Park Nature Journal.
12 pm - 1 pm: Join us for a Data Viewing Party. Who saw the most variety of life in the park?

During Spring Break, come to Wetlands Park for self-guided BioBlitz activities all week. Pick up a a self-guided Photo Scavenger Hunt sheet in the Exhibit Hall. Prizes for finding all the photo spots!

Discover the many opportunities available for summer fun in the Las Vegas Valley. Explore booths from local agencies and businesses for things to do all summer long. Play games throughout the Nature Center and enjoy the cool air conditioning of the Exhibit Hall.
