Throughout the 1960s and 70s the fabulous Las Vegas Strip saw amazing growth. People from all over the world traveled to a newly expanded airport to gamble, drink and see live entertainment. Some left with new wealth, some left without a cent to their name, but everyone left with an iconic Las Vegas souvenir. Each item -- be it an ashtray, swizzle stick or pack of playing cards -- represents a time, a place and a culture. In "Bringing It Home: Souvenirs of the Strip: 1960-1980", the history of the strip's heyday comes to life in souvenirs that tourists might have taken home with them. The exhibit showcases many artifacts that have never before been displayed from the Clark County Museum collections.
