Winchester Headliners Youth Theater Program
Come join in with the Winchester Headliners Fall/Winter session from September 7th until December 7th, culminating in four plays on the week of December 2nd! This year's Winter play is Elf Jr. Based on the beloved holiday film, this hilarious fish-out-of-water comedy follows Buddy the Elf in his quest to find his true identity. Come join in the laughs for this year's sure-to-be season hit!
Participants will develop skills by working each week. Focus areas will include: improvisation, singing, audition techniques, theater staging, dancing, scene study, and development of stage presence. Additionally, students will prepare and perform a production at the end of the session. This class runs for 14 weeks and is $148.

The Winchester Headliners Youth Theatre Program is for children and teens aged 7-17*. Participants are trained in the skills of: Acting, Improvisation, Singing, Audition Techniques, Theatre Dance, Scene Study, Staging and Blocking, Make-up and Costumes, Prop Building, Set Building, and Stage Management.
Participants learn the collaborative process of creating theatre through hands-on experience back-stage and on-stage. Participants work as an ensemble to prepare and perform many diverse styles of theatrical performances that have included: "Peter Pan," "Charlotte's Web," "James and the Giant Peach", "Annie" and "The Lion King.
Staff Bios: The Winchester Headliners program is facilitated by Adam Neri and Anna Allred.
Adam Neri(Director) brings over a decade of acting and coaching experience to the Winchester Cultural Center. As director of the theater program he is responsible for planning and teaching acting classes as well as producing and directing three productions each year. For more than 10 years Adam has coached improv through the Clark County School District and has had four teams place in the top five under his direction at the Utah Shakespeare festival. Additionally, Adam has directed a musical production at Del Sol High School and directed Story Theater, a touring production for elementary school students. In his free time Adam enjoys creating and editing film, rooting for the San Francisco 49ers and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
Anna Allred (Assistant Director) has been teaching theatre arts, improvisation and comedy for 15 years. Her work with the Winchester Headliners Youth Theatre Program includes teaching speech, creative movement, prop building, set building and stage makeup. Anna’s goals for the participants of the Winchester Headliners Program go beyond the confines of the stage. She not only wants to improve the participants acting skills - she wants to help the students become confident, compassionate members of society.
When Anna is not here at Winchester Cultural Center she is working at the Clark County Library District. Anna is an event planner and training facilitator for the Library’s employees and customers. Anna is a native of Las Vegas!
*must be 17 or under when registering (participants who turn 18 while enrolled in the program will be allowed to participate until the end of the session).
