Mexican Folkloric Classes Offered at Winchester
Winchester Dondero Ballet Folklorico Classes Oct. 4th
Martha Luevanos leads this traditional Mexican dance class where children and adults alike learn dances from different states of Mexico. The Adult class will begin in October on Saturdays from 1:30-2:30pm for $18 a month. The Youth class runs every month on Friday from 6:00-8:00pm and Saturday from 2:30-4:30pm for $25 a month the week of Oct. 4th at Winchester Dondero Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, just north of Desert Inn Road. Classes range in price from $18 to $725 for the monthly program. Registration is open online at

Baile Folklórico, literally "folkloric dance" in Spanish, is a collective term of traditional Latin American dances that emphasize local folk culture with ballet characteristics-pointed toes, exaggerated movements, and highly choreographed arrangements. Teaching for many years here at Winchester Cultural Center, Martha Luevanos is an expert at instructing people of all ages in the art of folkloric dance, and has performed at multiple venues with her talented students across the Las Vegas Valley.
