exhibit-existinginthought-valantinClark County Public Art seeks to engage the public through art and promote local art and artists in the community.  A themed open call for abstract art produced an enormous response from many talented local artists.  "Existing in Thought" exhibit runs from January 7 – March 4 and the exhibit features Valentin Yordov accompanied by 42 works of art by 34 selected artists.

The language and expression of Abstract Art communicated in line, form, color and gesture is universal.  "EXISTING IN THOUGHT" offers an exciting opportunity for everyone to enjoy memorable and influential local art that will appeal to each individual's view.  This show was curated to indulge guests with an explosion of artistic expression and enlighten the viewers own thought while experiencing the exhibit.

Russian born guest curator, Valentin Yordanov, has traveled the world with his art.  After receiving his Master of Fine Arts degree, he was honored with a grant to study at the Bucharest National Academy of Arts, Romania.  He has exhibited internationally, however, he now calls Las Vegas home.

Valentin is a contemporary explorer whose geometrical abstract paintings act like a travelogue, impressions of locations he visits or dreams about.  Mountains, roads, rails and raising construction offer a dynamical view of a changing environment around us.  Valentin is inspired by the phenomena of urban generation, globalization and changing environment.
