Inaugural Tacos and Tamales festival at Sunset Park
Attention all foodies: Clark County Parks and Recreation presents the Tacos and Tamales festival, March 31st. Bring the entire family for a fun-filled day of food, tastings, live music, lucha libre wrestling, kids' activities, and more in the beautiful scenery of Sunset Park..
The food festival will feature dozens of local vendors showcasing their taco and tamale creations, from the traditional, to multicultural-fusion, and to totally insane! With so many choices, there is sure to be something for everyone. The food festival will also feature a Vegan Village, an exclusively-vegan and vegetarian area. Come try something different as popular plant-based vendors from Las Vegas and Southern California give their vegan-spin on traditional Mexican cuisine.
With all this food, we know you are bound to be thirsty; and we also know that nothing goes better with tacos and tamales than tequila and beer! Come tantalize your taste buds with our tequila tasting and microbrew beer garden, steps away from the food festival. The tasting experience will feature an array of brands sampling cocktails, shots, pairings, and more. Kick up your feet in the relaxation lounge, or play a round of corn-hole and other games while you enjoy your drinks with friends. The tequila tasting experience and microwbew beer garden are brought to you by Live to Give and benefits local charity Create a Change Now, who strive to fight childhood obesity through gardening, chef demos, and in-class curriculum. This portion is a ticketed event, with tickets starting at just $25. They can be purchased at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/tequila-tasting-experience-tickets-43081246167.
While you enjoy your food and drink, sit back and relax with all the live entertainment we have to offer. Lucha Libre Las Vegas will be showcasing the talents of some of their biggest and most exciting stars, such as Rey Horus, TJ Mariachi, Loco Bestia 666, Black Danger, and more! When you aren't cheering on your favorite luchadores ring-side, make your way over to the stage for live music. Featuring favorites such as La Banda Skalavera, Los Ataskados, Tiki Bandits, and more, you'll be sure to be dancing all day and night!
Bring the kids for a day of fun in the sun to enjoy a variety of carnival rides, games, bounce houses, and plenty of sweet-treat vendors. All rides and amusements will be available on a pay-for-play basis at a reasonable price.
