Winchester Music Classes
Come join in with the Winchester Dondero music classes taught by Marcelino Chavez and Robert "Junior" Brantley from November 9th until December 14th. Classes cover multiple instruments such as guitar, violin, and piano and run on Wednesdays and Thursdays 3-7:30pm and Saturdays from 11-3:30pm for $84.
Participants will develop skills by working each week in a private one-on-one session with the instructor to learn their instrument of choice. Instruments such as the piano will be provided for the participant while classes like guitar and violin require a participant to bring their own for class use and personal practice. There are no skill or ability requirements in order to take the class and all ages and skill levels are encouraged. All classes run for 6 weeks and are $84 each.
Marcelino Chavez has been playing guitar for over a decade and has proved time and again that his skill at playing and instructing are beyond compare. A Las Vegas Academy graduate in 2014, Marcelino has performed at Smith Center Winter Show and won Gateway Foundation scholarship first place twice, helping students learn the value of playing an instrument and teaching students of all ages for many years at Winchester Cultural Center. Junior is an accomplished pianist and has performed in his band all over Clark County and beyond into multiple other states, and continues to bring his prodigious talents to the Cultural Center and teach a new generation of students the wonders of playing piano.
Winchester Dondero Cultural Center is located at 3130 S. McLeod Drive, just north of Desert Inn Road.
