`Cultures of Las Vegas: The French' Debuts July 1

"Cultures of Las Vegas: The French," a discussion of all things French in the Las Vegas Valley and beyond, will debut on Clark County Television (CCTV) Wednesday, July 1 at 7 p.m. and will air throughout July, which is French-American Heritage Month. France's national day, Bastille Day, is July 14.

"I had such a wonderful time filming the Cultures of Las Vegas: The French segment. I grew up speaking French and have family living outside of Paris and in the south of France." said Beardsley. "This was an amazing opportunity to explore my roots as well as showcase French people living here in Las Vegas. We have a very big group of talented French business owners, performers, entrepreneurs and chefs here in Las Vegas." 

"The contributions of the French to world history and culture are remarkably extensive and I'm glad we can showcase their impact on Southern Nevada," said Erik Pappa, the County's director of Public Communications. "I want to thank Channel 3's Chloe Beardsley for moderating this discussion as well as the panelists for their insights."

Previous iterations of the series have focused on the Irish,; the Chinese,; the Poles,, and the Italians, CCTV has also produced similar shows, including, "Celebrating Latino Contributions,"; "Influences of Asia and the Pacific,"; and Black History Month discussions, and Staff plan to continue the series, focusing each month on the contributions of a local ethnic group.

CCTV is available in the Las Vegas area on Channel 4/1004 on Cox cable and on CenturyLink on Channels 4 and 1004 as well as in Laughlin on Channel 14 via Suddenlink.
