'Dog Daze of Summer' is Back Sept. 1

Desert Breeze Aquatics Facility will be hosting its annual "Dog Daze of Summer" event for dog owners from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1. The facility is located at 8275 W. Spring Mountain Rd., east of  Durango Drive.

Small dogs under 50 pounds will be allowed in the pool from 8 to 9:15 a.m. and big dogs over 50 pounds will be allowed in from 9:45 to 11 a.m. The event will feature open swimming in the outdoor waterpark for the dogs, raffles, and dog contests, including tallest dog, shortest dog, and funniest pet trick. There will be local dog-friendly businesses present at the event to show off what products and services are near you for your dogs, as well as to give away tons of free items to take home. The cost to register a dog is $5 for pre-registration and $10 at the door.

Owners must show proof of dog's vaccinations before being admitted into the event and only dogs are allowed in the pool.

The event is limited to 100 dogs per session, so we recommend signing up now. Participants may sign up at the Desert Breeze Aquatic Facility or online at
