Clark County Parks and Recreation is presenting the annual Children's Festival Saturday, April 20, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Winchester Cultural Center and Park, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, just north of Desert Inn Road.
Admission is free but be sure to bring money for the traditional food and craft vendors. Parking is limited, so carpooling is highly recommended.
Every year, the park is transformed into a lively play land for children, who delight in the magic of this unique celebration of creativity and community spirit. Founded in 1993, the annual spring event provides families with an opportunity to come together and enjoy a fun-filled family day.
The 2019 Children's Festival theme is "Children in Nature". Admission is free, and the many free activities will celebrate all things natural and nature-oriented, such as Get Outdoors Nevada and the Greenwood Revelers with the famous Tree-Men. The activities will also include ongoing dance and music performances, arts and crafts, our ongoing tile painting mosaic workshops, a full harmonica workshop, and face painters. Vendors with small fees include historic battles and food/drink vendors. Performances on stage will feature children's dance troupes and performers of all stripes, from dance to music to theater. They will start performing at 11a.m.
