Commissioner Hosting Community Prayer Breakfast on Wednesday

Commission Vice Chairman Lawrence Weekly will host a community prayer breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, at the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas at Nevada Partners at 710 W. Lake Mead Boulevard.

The breakfast will focus on addressing the opioid crisis in our community. The commission recently proclaimed March as Opioid Awareness Month in Clark County to help bring awareness to this deadly issue.

"The opioid epidemic is a national crisis that has greatly impacted our community," Vice Chairman Weekly said. "We come together to confront this problem as a united community, and to let those suffering with addiction know that we are here to help."

Admission to the prayer breakfast is free, but seating is limited and reservations are encouraged. To reserve your seat at the breakfast, call William Covington at (702) 455-2540.
