Commissioners Larry Brown and Marilyn Kirkpatrick are co-hosting a National Night Out Celebration with police and city officials from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 at Mountain Crest Park at 4701 N. Durango Drive.
The event is free to attend and will featuring games, music and food.
Commissioners Brown are Kirkpatrick are joining with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Las Vegas City Council members Stavros Anthony and Michele Fiore to host the event.
"National Night Out is a great annual tradition that brings residents and law enforcement officers together for a night of food, music and fun," Commissioner Brown said. "Improving relationships between the police and the people they are protecting, helps make our community safer."
"To create safe neighborhoods, the residents and the police must know and trust each other," Commissioner Kirkpatrick said. "The annual National Night Out celebrations give us the opportunity to meet and get to know each other while having some fun."
