Family Services to Host Virtual Foster Care Information Sessions

          To adapt to the impacts of COVID-19, Clark County's Department of Family Services (DFS) will offer online foster care information sessions beginning Tuesday, April 21.

          The sessions will cover general information and requirements to become a foster parent. Those interested in attending a session should fill out the Count Me In! form located on the home page at The sessions will be hosted on Webex, and anyone interested in the viewing the sessions will need to create a free account through that service.

Upcoming information sessions will be provided on:

  • Tuesday, April 21, at 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 25, at 9 a.m.
  • Tuesday, April 28, at 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 2, at 9 a.m.

          "We are always looking for new ways to engage with the community," County Administrator of Human Services Tim Burch said. "This opportunity will provide individuals with the information and requirements necessary to make an informed decision about foster care."
