Lane Restrictions Feb. 3 - Mar. 20 on Parts of Blue Diamond Road

The Clark County Water Reclamation District (District) is announcing lane restrictions for sewer work as part of the Southwest Interceptor project. Construction work will primarily occur at the Arville & Blue Diamond intersection, with traffic control extending to Dean Martin and Lindell depending on phasing.

TRAVEL ADVISORY

Dates:           FEBRUARY 3, 2020 through at least MARCH 20, 2020

Streets:        Blue Diamond – Dean Martin to Lindell in 4 phases:

Phase 1: Blue Diamond intersection (SOUTH) Closure of 3 right lanes of eastbound Blue Diamond to allow for install of pipe into intersection. Arville traffic will be shifted east with both directions of travel open, including crossing the intersection. Sunday-Thursday 9pm-5:30am daily.

Phase 2: Blue Diamond intersection (CENTER) Closure of 3 left lanes of Blue Diamond in BOTH directions to allow for pipe install across the intersection. Arville  traffic  will  be  shifted  east  with  both  directions of  travel  open, including crossing the intersection. Sunday-Thursday 9pm-5:30am daily. Phase 3: Blue Diamond intersection (WEST) 24-HR closure implemented to set up bypass and install an additional line. Barrier rail will be placed across the entire intersection running east-west.  3 lanes of east and westbound travel will be maintained.  Because of the barrier rail, Arville traffic will not be able to cross the intersection.

Phase 4: Blue Diamond intersection (NORTH) Closure of 3 right lanes of westbound Blue Diamond to allow for pipe install leaving the intersection. Arville traffic will be shifted east with both direction of travel open, including crossing the intersection. Sunday-Thursday 9pm-5:30am daily.

Access to all businesses will be maintained with limited left turns on Blue

Diamond depending on project phasing.

Most work will be conducted weekdays during nighttime hours. Lane restrictions will not be in place when work is not being conducted with the exception of Phase 3 24-hr closure.

While work is taking place, drivers should take precautions, use alternate routes and allow extra time when traveling through the impacted area.
