Law Library, Nevada Legal Services Set Schedule of Free Classes January - April 2017

The Clark County Library and Nevada Legal Services are offering a full schedule of free, legal education classes to the public from January through April 2017. The classes will be held at the Law Library, located in downtown Las Vegas at 309 S. Third St., Suite 400. Topics include: Criminal Records Sealing and Civil Rights Restoration; Employment Law; Estate Planning; Identity Theft; Know Your Civil Rights; Probate for Estates Under $100,000; Tenant's Rights; and a Records Sealing Forms Clinic. 

There is no cost to attend, but seating space is limited. Participants must call the Law Library at (702) 455-4696 to register for the classes. The Law Library is open Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Its email address is:  AskInfo@ClarkCountyNV.gov.  The 2017 schedule of classes is as follows:

  • Criminal Record Sealing and Civil Rights Restoration – Wednesdays, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., from Jan. 4 through April 26. 
  • Employment Law – Thursdays, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., on Jan. 12, Feb. 9, March 9, and April 13.
  • Estate Planning – Wednesdays, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 18, Feb. 15, March 15, and April 19.
  • Identity Theft – Tuesdays, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 24, Feb. 28, March 28, and April 25.
  • Know Your Civil Rights Fridays, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 6, Feb. 3, March 3, and April 7.
  • Probate for Estates Under $100,000 – Fridays, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 20, Feb. 17, March 17, and April 21.
  • Record Sealing Forms Completion Clinic – Mondays, two sessions 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., from Jan. 9 through April 24.
  • Tenant's Rights – Fridays, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 13, Jan. 27, Feb. 10, Feb. 24, March 10, March  24, and April 28.
