Law Library, Nevada Legal Services to Offer Free Class to Help Cash Workers Learn Tax Tips

​The Clark County Law Library and the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) of Nevada Legal Services are offering a new, free legal education class to help ride share drivers, housekeepers, landscapers and other workers who receive most of their income in cash to pay taxes, track payments and deal with related issues.

The class will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, and Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Clark County Law Library, located in downtown Las Vegas at 309 S. Third St., Suite 400. Topics to be covered include calculating income from multiple sources; how to pay the IRS; how to track payments to support ITIN/Green Card applications; identity theft protection; tax return preparer fraud; IRS levies and liens; and IRS audits.
