Mexican Singer and Songwriter to Perform Jan. 5

       Mexican singer and song writer Alejandra Moreno will present "Aires de Flamenco" at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5 at Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, just north of Desert Inn Road. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at or at the Winchester front desk.

       Moreno will perform solo with her guitar, drum machine and voice, with an international repertoire, including songs from her last album, "Quiero, no quiero," and other famous songs in Spanish and English with ballads, boleros, bossa novas and more Latin rhythms, displaying her wide musical versatility.

       Moreno has more than 28 years of experience performing in Mexico and overseas in places like Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, London, Athens, New York, Buenos Aires, Cairo and Bangkok. Her strong Spanish and Mexican roots are very apparent in her style. She is the daughter of Flamenco guitarist David Moreno.
