Due to ongoing construction, the Losee Road crossover of the Northern Beltway will be closed for about 3 months beginning 2 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8.
During this closure, drivers heading west on the Northern Beltway will not be able to exit at Losee, and drivers will not be able to get to westbound 215 from Losee.
Meanwhile, the Pecos Road crossover of the Northern Beltway will reopen to traffic 11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7. (This is the closest exit to the Veterans Administration hospital at 6900 N. Pecos Road.)
The construction is part of the Northern Beltway improvement project, which will turn the 215 into a full freeway from North 5th Street to the Union Pacific Railroad tracks just west of Range Road. The project includes new interchanges and bridges at Losee, Pecos and Lamb, plus new medians, high-mast lighting, and drainage facilities.
Drivers are advised to pay attention to area message boards for changes to traffic patterns.
Las Vegas Paving is the contractor on the project, which is expected to be complete in 2020.
