Winchester Dondero Cultural Center is proud to present the Russian Seasons show; an exciting multitude of musical maestros at 7 p.m. on Feb. 9. THE RUSSIAN SEASONS in Celebration of Russian Arts, Music & Culture in Las Vegas will be presented by pianist Dr. Maria (Masha) Pisarenko & friends - Dr. Lillian Roberts (soprano), Dmytro Nehrych (violin), Dana Hurt Jr. (cello) & Cindy Lee (piano). The event will feature an exciting and diverse program of Chamber and Vocal Music by Russian composers, including Pyotr Tchaikovsky's piano trio "The Seasons," piano duet "The Nutcracker," as well as Dmitri Shostakovich's vocal cycle op. 127 for soprano, violoncello, violin & piano inspired by verses of poet Alexander Blok.
Dr. Maria (Masha) Pisarenko is actively involved in the cultural life of Las Vegas as a performer, educator and artistic director promoting Russian Language, Music and Culture. She has performed on some of the most prestigious stages of the world, including in Russia, Asia, Europe, and the United States.
Since coming to Vegas, Dmytro Nehrych has performed with the Las Vegas Youth Camerata Orchestra, the Las Vegas Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the music group "String Valley, and at famous casinos such as the Wynn and Rio. He currently works at the NY Music Academy.
Internationally acclaimed American Soprano, Lillian Roberts is the Founder Executive Director of Voccalis International. She has performed throughout the US, Europe, and Latin America. During this time, she has worked with world-renowned conductors such as Eduardo Müller of La Scala, Warren Jones of the Metropolitan Opera, and James Conlon of the Paris National Opera.
Cindy is a staff pianist at University of Nevada Las Vegas and a teaching faculty at Nevada School of The Arts. She was a chairman of Pinao Ensemble in Buschell Competition in 2017. As a member of NMTA, LVMTA, and NFMC, she is actively involved in important music festivals and competitions as a teacher and judge.
Dana Martin Hurt Jr. has recently won the concerto competition from the distinguished Las Vegas Academy of Arts High School where he performed the Dvorak cello concerto and graduated. He now attends the University of Las Vegas Nevada for a Bachelor's in cello performance.
