Local kids can have a summer filled with fun and enriching activities — all through Clark County Parks and Recreation.
CCPR has announced five of its recreation centers will offer Summer Day Camps for children ages 6-12. Day camp is $19 per day or $90 per week and parents can register their children at www.ClarkCountyNV.gov/parksregistration or at the individual recreation centers offering day camps.
The camps will take place May 28 through August 9 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Locations where camps will take place include Cambridge Recreation Center (3930 Cambridge St. 89119), Hollywood Recreation Center (1650 S. Hollywood Blvd. 89142), Paradise Recreation Center (4775 S. McLeod, 89121), Bob Price Recreation Center (2050 Bonnie Lane 89156) and Pearson Recreation Center (1625 West Carey 89032).
Day camp is extremely popular and availability in the program fills quickly. Registration will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment in full is required to reserve a spot. CCAP (Las Vegas Urban League) is accepted, but parents must provide a current certificate of benefits designated to specific site the child will be attending.
Participants are required to bring a lunch and two snacks that do not need heating or refrigeration.
Desert Breeze Community Center, Helen Meyer Community Center, Safekey (at Feiss and Silvestri Middle Schools), Parkdale Recreation Center, Walnut Recreation Center, Whitney Recreation Center, and Winchester Cultural Center will also be offering specialty camps and programs this summer.
