If you asked the seniors at the West Flamingo Senior Center if they like to crochet, they would definitely say they're hooked.
The seniors at West Flamingo Senior Center are currently collaborating with the Yarn Bombing Los Angeles (YBLA) group for the Forest for the Trees exhibit, which will be exhibited at the Tom Bradley International Terminal at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
The West Flamingo seniors' pieces will be put together with the existing YBLA Forest collection. The exhibit will be displayed in a case that is 40 feet wide by 7 feet tall. Only the top 5 feet of the back wall will be visible. There will be a shelf at the front for small crocheted pieces and vignettes.
All work on the exhibit will be completed by the end of February with installation of the exhibit taking place in March.
