Safe Routes to School Program - County Suggested Routes
Clark County has an ongoing partnership with the Clark County School District (CCSD) and other local jurisdictions on a community-wide Safe Routes to School Program. Safe Routes to School (SRTS) is a national program that encourages children to walk and bicycle to and from school by implementing the "5 E's" - Education, Encouragement, Engineering, Enforcement and Evaluation to foster safer environments for school commutes.
The Department of Public Works maintains an inventory of school-related traffic control devices within a two-mile walking radius of elementary and middle schools located within unincorporated Clark County jurisdiction. This data is displayed on a map exhibit for each school zone area. Families can use the information to determine a safe route for their student. SRTS map exhibits are provided to CCSD for distribution. PDF copies are also available, please search the document by school name.
