Safe Routes to School Program - County Suggested Routes to School Program
Clark County has an ongoing partnership with the Clark County School District (CCSD) and other local jurisdictions on a community-wide Safe Routes to School Program. Safe Routes to School (SRTS) is a national program that encourages children to walk and bicycle to and from school by implementing the "6 E's" - Evaluation, Engineering, Education, Encouragement, Enforcement and Equity to foster safer environments for school commutes.
The Department of Public Works maintains an inventory of school-related traffic control devices within a two-mile walking radius of elementary and middle schools located within unincorporated Clark County jurisdiction.
